Indeed I would. Active selection of emotionless, sexless, fearful, always-in-alert (telescreen everywhere!) people would surely leave trace (brain-wise). The most amazing changes would be related to 1) dealing with the thought police - never show what we think, remain expressionless - and 2) once you love big brother (because everyone eventually did) exercising doublethink.
Could we ever study the human brain in such a society, though? Would the epileptic in need of surgery (and thus eventually available to brain activity measurement) be allowed to exist?
Or maybe even healthy people could be experiment on. On the other hand, would BB want to spend resourced on not-war related research? But wait... this could have tremendous benefits for the war industry.
